Asakusa, Avocado, Alphabetical

Asakusa Sushi is the most recent Japanese restaurant that Brooke and I (the fast becoming sushi experts) tried out last Wednesday. It is on 88th Ave in Langley right by the shoppers drug mart. We figured perhaps they picked their name so it would show up first in the phonebook, but maybe not.

We got our own little room/hut which is always fun. The menus were falling apart, but lots of selection.
The decor was fun. And of course they had the same poster that every japanese restaurant seems to have on the wall. With the same things at every one. But good for consistency.
Miso soup wasn't great, sunomono salad was pretty good, but I prefer a stronger brine.
The rolls were well wrapped and tasty. A couple perhaps had a bit too much mayo in them for my liking. And were perhaps a bit too large to fit in the mouth in one go.
But we tried a few new rolls that were pretty good. We've decided on our future standardized sushi ordering.
This one had salmon and cream cheese and a sauce. It was pretty good, but a bit too saucy.
The mango roll was excellent. Mango and avocado {although a bit chinzy on the avocado}, but it was super refreshing and tasty!
Brooke and I both gave it 3.5 out of 5. Not our favorite but not horrible.
Our quest continues to find the best sushi restaurant in Langley.. Next up will be Japan Sushi!
