Fifth, Food, Finishing

Happy fifth day of December. This is a really tired Vanessa writing who didn't want to blog today but didn't want to break the december tradition. So I will make it quick.

This is what made today better than yesterday:
-I made jamjams with Desiree
-I went to the prison and we had a Christmas party there with lots of food. it was neat because there was a girl there from mexico who didn't speak english and for as long as she's been there she has had no one to talk to. I was able to use my scant bit of spanish and have a conversation with her and it was cool because i know she really appreciated it. yay for school coming in handy! made me think more of taking spanish next semester.. hmmm...
-went and celebrated my friend Kacey's bday with her and a bunch of peeps
-finished one/sixth of my big chunks of marking.

Huzzah. I'm off to bed. More excitingness tomorrow.

Fourth, Faraway, Friends

Happy fourth of December!!!

I just had a phone conversation that was 27 minutes and 27 seconds. Go figure. That made my day better than yesterday in itself-specially since the convo was with Jenn

Things that made today better than yesterday:
-I made cookies.. but not just any cookies. it's a secret recipe and I got to see it and make it as an honorary family member!! very exciting!
-I went to Costco with Chrystal and got to be there while she had her first Costco hot dog ever
-I saw Four Christmases with Chrystal and it was quite funny
-I booked a trip to the Bahamas!!! YAH!!!!!! Atlantis on Paradise Island here I come!! There are like a bunch of waterslide parks there, 20 swimming pools, 14 marine life areas, two private beaches, and much much more! I'm going with Chrystal and Lindie and it should be amazing!! Random Fact about me:
I always back into parking stalls. Unless I need to load something into the back of my vehicle.

Random Funny Story about me:
When I was little I thought that the non-sticky part of bandaids was to put over your fingernail or toenail so you wouldn't rip your nail off when taking off the bandaid. So the sticky part always went over my wound.. And I hated taking bandaids off because they hurt so much. Ha. To this day I have an aversion to bandaids as a result.

Weirdest thing I said today:
I phone my hold on the other side.

Third, TWU, Two

Happy third day of December!! What did you do today to make it better than yesterday?

Today was my last day of classes for 2008!!!! Huzzah!!!!!!!

Now I am done three classes and just have two more exams and a dumpload of marking to do. Went for dinner with Chrystal and then to Life group, so all in all a good day. But yes the highlight would definitely be finishing classes! Felt great!!

And seeing people's reactions to my black hair.. haha

Second, Starbucks, Senior

Happy Second of December!!!

To make today better than yesterday, I:

-slept until 11am making that 12 hours of sleep I got last night (must have been needed)
-did homework at Starbucks with my friend Jocelyn and Chrystal
-got ethics approval for my senior thesis!! supposedly record timing for approval!
-went for dinner with my cousins (Japanese-mmm)
-hot tubbed with my friend Kristen
-and dyed and cut my hair!! AHHH!! have wanted to have black hair since i was a child. today that dream came true. this will be hard to top...

First, Far, Frenzy

Happy first of December!! The month of fun! Where every day you do something better than the day before!!

So my day started at Denny's until three am as I finished reading a 500 page textbook and writing a 10 page paper! Felt incredibly productive!! Got to bed by 4:30 and had a decent day, getting lots done. Then some hot tub fun and my efforts to go to bed early... earlier than in the past. We'll see how that turns out.

So that's all I got for now. Happy month of fun! Tune in for the excitement of what tomorrow will bring!
