Quebec, Quaint, Quite

Really randomly I decided to take a quick trip to Quebec as I found out I wouldn't be starting work right away. So off i went to visit one of my favorite places in Canada!! :) I got to stay with some friends of mine and enjoy playing with their four kids. I also saw my old roommate Betty in Quebec City which was so great to catch up with her!

I still had a ton of marking to finish, but I got it done which felt amazing. And now I can officially say I'm done school!! YEAHHH!

Okay this picture does not take place in Quebec, but it is my friends and I out for our celebration dinner of being done school!!

Slug, Spring, Sunbathers

Okay so these pictures are from a while back, but I still wanted to post them because I think they're pretty fun! Liz, Chrystal and I went to Cultus, Bridal Falls and Harrisson and had a great time! here are some pics to enjoy!

Liz was chasing the Canadian Geese around. i was secretly hoping they'd turn on her and attack, just because I thought it would be interesting to see.

Hmm. you can wash your car and pet at the same time.. seems a little odd to me!

I had to walk behind her for a while.. not a pretty sight.. but quite funny nonetheless!

It was reasonably cold out that day yet that man was going hard core sunbathing

We were enjoying a hot tub with snacks and such. and apparently the slug decided to join us. Gross. Glad we didn't eat it by accident! :)

Liz decided to eat it instead.. Ewwwww

Sorry this post doesn't have more words.. but I'm really tired and just wanted to post something in order to have something to read and so all my posts in the next few days don't come all at once!!

As I type this post, my 61 page undergrad thesis is being printed.

Oh the joy and the satisfaction that accompanies those pages....

Sigh.

I can't believe I'm actually done.

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Is it bad that I already have that niggling feeling, for the first time in three years of :

Hmmm.. I don't have any homework to do. So what should I do?

Tis a strange and new feeling, but I think I like it! :)

Pickles, Plane, Prepared

The other night after a nice long walk, Nick and I decided to play Rack-o and Skip-o (notice the theme of games ending in "o". During the course of our playing, we ended up eating almost three jars of pickles (ewww) and played until about 4am. Wow. haha. By the end we'd make our skipbo piles about forty or fifty cards... but it was a lot of fun nonetheless. Here are a couple of pictures I took to document the evening.

So my plans for working have changed slightly.. I got a phone call today saying I don't have to start on Wednesday (YAY) but will start on Monday instead. I wasn't excited to start Wednesday because it's right after my last exam and I wanted a bit of a breather.. so I got my wish.

I decided to be spontaneous and book a quick trip. So I am leaving tomorrow night for Quebec and coming home Sunday!! Talk about spontaneity! I'm SUPER excited to go.. I think I was bouncing off the walls within the half hour I decided to book my tickets.. I have really been wanting to go visit of late and wanting to see people and just be. Quebec is my "heartland" and I love it so and I'm super excited for a mini retreat. I will get to play with kids I love dearly, have some great chats, be out in the beautiful nature, and speak French again. sigh. dream come true.

So I am off for a few days and you may or may not hear from me-time will tell! :) Tomorrow is my exam and I have been studying not as much as I should have been, but am excited to have it done. After having a few nights of about 3-5 hours of sleep and tonight getting five hours, the prospect of having a red-eye flight from Calgary tomorrow is not too appealing.. who needs sleep anyway? AND i get to see Jenn (and maybe Lindie) at the Calgary airport tomorrow during my layover. YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

Have a good week friends!

My Uncle Jay and his daughter Simone coloring eggs

This is Liv-my cousins' daughter. She is an absolute sweetie!!

I was crying, so Liv decided to make a similar facial expression as me so I wouldn't feel so bad.

All in all it was a great weekend! On Saturday I finished a paper and now I'm trying to study for my last (and first) final!

Paper, Psychotherapy, Party

Greetings!! It is 2:30am in the morning and I just finished typing my last page of my paper on the connections between spirituality and psychotherapy. YAY! Well I think I have a lot of editing to do (seeing that it is 2:30 in the morning and the brain doesn't fully work), but the bulk of it is done!!

Here's some numbers from my paper:
6 people interviewed
30 pages
40 sources
9000 words

Anyway, just wanted to write a post of celebration that the end of school is getting nearer now that the bulk of this paper is completed! Huzzah!!

And some Easter pictures and other fun stuff is coming up soon!! :)

Only 120 papers to mark! (okay cut out the only, that's a lot!)
Only 4 more days until I start working full time!
Only 3 more days until my first and last exam!
Only 1 more paper to work on!
5.5-the hours of sleep i might get tonight!! woo hoo!

Posters, Procrastination, People

So I just uploaded pics from my camera and found some of Kristen and I at the Canucks game the other night. The game sucked and so did the mini donuts that we have been talking about buying all year.. but at least the company was good and we had a fun time! And made it on the big screen (as always!)

Kristen and my disgusted faces at the disappointing mini donuts...

Yesterday we had our poster sessions and so here are a few pics from that.. We even took a nice group shot at the end too which was nice to have a photo of everyone together!

Heidi (my roomie) dropped in to look at the posters so we took a snapshot. :)

What would a group picture be without funny faces from everyone?? When someone said to make a funny face, we all paused for quite a bit.. evidently it's difficult to think of funny faces when you get older! :)

The main thing that has changed on my countdown is only 40 more pages to write for papers! I stayed up until 4 am writing a twenty page paper. It seemed like a brilliant idea until I had to wake up at 8am this morning...

Today I baked cookeis with Des and we had a fantastic time singing and dancing around the kitchen. Then I watched 'Seven Pounds' with Chrystal. We started the movie off giggling, because the first time we tried to see the movie in theatres, we walked into the wrong theatre and ended up seeing bedtimes stories. This time the dvd got stuck in her dvd player and it wouldn't open or play.. haha.. luckily it finally worked!! :)

And that's all for now - i'm off to bed for a hopefully early start tomorrow!! :)
